676 أن تَلْبِيَةَ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ، لَبَّيْكَ لا شريك لك لَبَّيْكَ، إن الحمد والنعمة لك والملك، لا شريك لك
The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) would thus say Talbiyah: O Allah, I respond to Your call! I do respond. I respond to Your call; You have no partner. I do respond. Praise, blessings, and sovereignty are only Yours. You have no partner

عن عبد الله بن عمر رضي الله عنهما : «أن تَلْبِيَةَ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : لَبَّيْكَ اللهم لَبَّيْكَ، لبيك لا شريك لك لبيك، إن الحمد والنعمة لك والملك، لا شريك لك». قال: وكان عبد الله بن عمر يزيد فيها: «لَبَّيْكَ لَبَّيْكَ وَسَعْدَيْكَ، والخير بيديك، وَالرَّغْبَاءُ إليك والعمل».

‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) would say the Talbiyah like this: O Allah, I respond to Your call. I do respond. I respond to Your call. You have no partner. I do respond. Praise, blessings, and sovereignty are only Yours. You have no partner. I do respond. Praise, blessings, and sovereignty are only Yours. You have no partner). ‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Umar would further say: ''Here I am at Your service. Here I am at Your service, ready to obey You. Good is in Your Hands. Reward is sought from You. And work is done for Your sake.”

يبين عبد الله بن عمر رضي الله عنهما أن كيفية تلبية النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في الحج والعمرة: لبيك اللهم لبيك، لبيك لا شريك لك لبيك. فهي إعلان بإجابة الله تعالى في دعوته عباده إلى حج بيته، إجابة بعد إجابة وإخلاص له، وإقبال عليه، واعتراف بحمده، ونعمه، وإفراد له بذلك، وبملك جميع المخلوقات لا شريك له في ذلك كله، وكان ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما يزيد مضمون هذه التلبية؛ تأكيدا حيث يضيف إليها تلبية مضمونها : لبيك وسعديك، والخير بيديك والرغباء إليك والعمل، فمنتهى العمل إلى الله تعالى قصدًا وثوابًا.
Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) explains how the Prophet would make Talbiyah during Hajj and ‘Umrah, in which he responds to Allah's call (to His slaves) to make pilgrimage to His House. It is a sincere response, where one turns toward Allah, and recognizes His blessings, uniqueness, and ownership of all creatures, with no partner whatsoever. Further to this supplication, Ibn ‘Umar would say: ''Here I am at Your service. Here I am at Your service, ready to obey You. Good is in Your Hands. Reward is sought from You. And work is done for Your sake.'' Acts of worship should be directed to Allah, and reward should be sought from Him.

مشروعية التلبية في الحج والعمرة، وتأكدها فيه لأنها شعاره الخاص، كالتكبير شعار الصلاة. مشروعية التلبية على الصيغة الواردة في الحديث. جواز الزيادة في التلبية بما يناسب. إثبات ما تضمنته هذه التلبية من المعاني العظيمة. استحباب رفع الصوت بالتلبية، وهذا في حق الرجل، أما المرأة فتخفض صوتها خشية الفتنة.
