عن عبد الله بن عمر رضي الله عنهما : «أن تَلْبِيَةَ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : لَبَّيْكَ اللهم لَبَّيْكَ، لبيك لا شريك لك لبيك، إن الحمد والنعمة لك والملك، لا شريك لك». قال: وكان عبد الله بن عمر يزيد فيها: «لَبَّيْكَ لَبَّيْكَ وَسَعْدَيْكَ، والخير بيديك، وَالرَّغْبَاءُ إليك والعمل». ‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) would say the Talbiyah like this: O Allah, I respond to Your call. I do respond. I respond to Your call. You have no partner. I do respond. Praise, blessings, and sovereignty are only Yours. You have no partner. I do respond. Praise, blessings, and sovereignty are only Yours. You have no partner). ‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Umar would further say: ''Here I am at Your service. Here I am at Your service, ready to obey You. Good is in Your Hands. Reward is sought from You. And work is done for Your sake.”
