846 من أحبَّ أن يُبْسَطَ عليه في رزقه، وأن يُنْسَأَ له في أَثَرِهِ فَلْيَصِلْ رحمه
Whoever loves to have his sustenance expanded and his term of life prolonged should maintain ties of kinship

عن أنس بن مالك رضي الله عنه قال سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: «من أحبّ أن يُبْسَطَ عليه في رزقه، وأن يُنْسَأَ له في أَثَرِهِ؛ فَلْيَصِلْ رحمه».

Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever loves to have his sustenance expanded and his term of life prolonged should maintain ties of kinship."

في هذا الحديث حث على صلة الرحم، وبيان بعض فوائدها بالإضافة لتحقيق رضا الله تعالى ، فإنها سبب أيضًا للثواب العاجل بحصول أحب الأمور إلى العبد، وأنها سبب لبسط رزقه وتوسيعه، وسبب لطول العمر. وظاهر الحديث قد يتعارض عند بعض الناس مع قوله تعالى : (ولن يؤخر الله نفسا إذا جاء أجلها)، فالجواب: أنَّ الأجل محدد بالنسبة إلى كل سبب من أسبابه، فإذا فرضنا أن الشخص حدد له ستون عامًا إن وصل رحمه وأربعون إن قطعها؛ فإذا وصلها زاد الله في عمره الذي حدد له إذا لم يصل.
This Hadīth urges us to uphold our kinship ties and highlights some of the benefits of doing so, in addition to winning the pleasure of Allah, the Almighty. Maintaining ties of kinship is a cause for immediate rewards in worldly life, by the occurrence of pleasant things, like the expansion of sustenance and prolongation of lifespan. Some people may see the Hadīth, in its literal meaning, as contradicting with the verse that says: {But never will Allah delay a soul when its time has come} [Sūrat al-Munāfiqūn: 11]. Answering this, we say that someone’s lifespan is dependent on certain causes. Let us say, for example, that someone’s life is set to be 60 years, if he were to maintain the ties of kinship, and 40, if he were to cut them off. So, Allah will extend his life, if he maintains ties of kinship, beyond the period fixed in case he does not uphold them.

الحث والحرص على صلة الرحم. صلة الرحم سبب قوي جعله الله في سعة رزق الواصل وطول عمره. الجزاء من جنس العمل، فمن وصل رحمه بالبر والإحسان، وصله الله في عمره ورزقه. إثبات الأسباب؛ لأن الرسول -عليه الصلاة والسلام- أثبت سببًا -وهو: صلة الرحم- ومسببًا -وهو: طول الأجل وسعَة الرزق-.
