828 لا يشربَنَّ أحد منكم قائمًا
No one of you should drink while standing

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : «لا يشربَنَّ أحدٌ منكم قائما».

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No one of you should drink while standing."

صحيح - ( رواه مسلم ). Sahih/Authentic. [Muslim]

الحديث تضمن النهي عن أن يشرب الإنسان وهو قائم، وهذا النهي إذا لم تكن هناك حاجة للشرب قائما، وهو للكراهة.
The Hadīth includes the forbiddance to drink while standing. This forbiddance applies when there is no need to drink while standing, and it indicates dislike of doing that.

كراهة الشرب قائمًا. هذه الكراهة تزول عند الحاجة، كوجود زحام مكان الشرب.
