295 إذا لبستم، وإذا توضأتم، فابدأوا بأيامنكم
When you put on clothes and when you perform ablution, you should begin with your right side

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه مرفوعًا: «إِذَا لَبِسْتُم، وَإِذَا تَوَضَّأتُم، فَابْدَأُوا بَأَيَامِنُكُم».

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you put on clothes and when you perform ablution, you should begin with your right side."

صحيح - ( رواه أبوداود واللفظ له، والترمذي وابن ماجه وأحمد ). Sahih/Authentic. [Ibn Maajah]

أكَّد حديث أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه موضوع استحباب التيمن في الأمور الكريمة، فروى أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "إذا لبستم" أي أردتم اللبس و"إذا توضأتم" أي أردتم أعماله. "فابدءوا بأيامنكم" جمع أيمن وهو خلاف الأيسر، فيدخل الجانب الأيمن في نحو القميص، قبل الأيسر ويقدم اليمنى من يديه ورجليه في الوضوء، ثم اعلم أن من أعضاء الوضوء ما لا يستحب فيه التيامن، وهو الأذنان، والكفان، والخدان، بل يطهران دفعة واحدة، فإن تعذر ذلك كما في حق الأقطع ونحوه قدَّم اليمين.
This Hadīth affirms the desirability of beginning with the right side in all good things. So, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) exhorts us to start from the right side when we wear our clothes or when we perform ablution. An exception are some organs included in the ablution, namely the two ears, the two palms, and the two cheeks. Each of those pairs is to be washed at the same time, if possible; otherwise, we should begind with the right one.

الحديث مؤكد لقاعدة الشريعة: في استحباب البداءة باليمين فيما طريقه التكريم، وتقديم اليسار فيما طريقه الأذى والقذر. استحباب البدء باليمين في الوضوء ولبس الثياب.
