The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the one who gives a bribe and the one who receives a bribe to influence a Judgment

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: «لَعَن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم الرَّاشِي والمُرْتَشِي في الحُكْم».

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the one who gives a bribe and the one who receives a bribe to influence a Judgment.

لما كانت حقيقة الرشوة بذل المال ليتوصل به إلى باطل، دعا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بالطرد والإبعاد من رحمة الله على معطيها وآخذها؛ لما فيها من أضرار جسيمة على الفرد والمجتمع، والرشوة محرمة مطلقًا، وجاء تخصيصها بالحكم في الحديث؛ لأن الرشوة لأجل الحكم أعظم لما في ذلك من تبديل حكم الشرع، بأن يعطى القاضي ما يكون له أثر في تغيير الحكم أو تخفيفه واعتباره في صالح الراشي.
As people give bribes to attain what it invalid, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) prayed that they be expelled from Allah's mercy, referring to those who give bribes and those who receive bribes. Due to their grave consequences to people and society, bribes are absolutely forbidden. They are even more so, when they are involved in a judgment, such as when a judge is bribed to pass a judgment that replaces the Shariah judgment, and he changes the ruling, alleviates it, or makes it in favor of the briber.

يَحْرُمُ بذل الرشوة، وأخذُهَا، والتوسُّطُ فيها، والإعانةُ عليها؛ لما فيها من التعاون على الباطل. الرشوة من كبائر الذنوب؛ لأنَّ رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم- لعن آخذها ومعطيها، واللعنُ لا يكون إلاَّ على كبيرةٍ من كبائر الذنوب، وقد أجمع العلماء على تحريمها. الرشوة في باب القضاء والحكم أعظم جرمًا, وأشد إثمًا؛ لما فيها من أكل أموال النَّاس بالباطل وتغيير حكم الله -تعالى-، والحكم بغير ما أنزل الله؛ وآخذها قد ظَلَمَ بأخذها نفسه، وظَلَمَ المحكومَ له، وظَلَمَ المَحكومَ عليه.
