1501 الجَرَسُ مَزَامِيرُ الشَّيطَان
The bell is the musical instrument of the Satan

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: «الجَرَسُ مَزَامِيرُ الشَّيطَان».

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The bell is the musical instrument of the Satan."

صحيح - ( رواه مسلم ). Sahih/Authentic. [Muslim]

يخبر النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أن الأجراس التي تُعلق على البهائم: آلة من آلات الشيطان التي يُشغل بها الناس ويصرفهم عما خُلقوا من أجله، وأما أجراس التنبيه فقد أفتت اللجنة الدائمة بما يلي: (الأجراس المستعملة في البيوت والمدارس ونحوها جائزة ما لم تشتمل على محرم، كشبهها بنواقيس النصارى، أو لها صوت كالموسيقى، فإنها حينئذ تكون محرمة لذلك.).
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) informs in this Hadīth that bells that are hung on animals are one of the musical instruments of Satan whereby he distracts people from the purpose for which they were created. As for the bells used for alerting people, the Standing Committee gave this Fatwa: "The bells used in houses, schools, and the like are permissible unless they involve something prohibited, like being similar to church bells or producing a musical sound, in which case they would be prohibited."

تحريم تعليق الأجراس، حتى لا تفوت بركة حضور الملائكة، وخاصة تعليقها على وسائل الركوب في السفر. الجَرَس فيه تَشَبُّه بناقوس النصارى. تحريم المعازف كلها؛ لأنه مزمار الشيطان.
