1223 ما من مسلمين يلتقيان فيتصافحان إِلاَّ غُفِرَ لَهُمَا قَبلَ أنْ يَفْتَرِقَا
No two Muslims meet and shake hands except that their sins are forgiven before they part

عن البراء رضي الله عنه قَالَ: قَالَ رسولُ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : "مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمَينِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ فَيَتَصَافَحَانِ إِلاَّ غُفِرَ لَهُمَا قَبْلَ أنْ يَفْتَرِقَا".

Al-Barā' (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No two Muslims meet and shake hands except that their sins are forgiven before they part (from each other)."

الحديث بمجموع طرقه وشاهده صحيح أو على الأقل حسن - ( رواه أبو داود والترمذي وابن ماجه وأحمد ). The Hadith is Sahih/Authentic or at least Hasan/Sound, by way of its corroborating channels of transmission and supportive narration. [Ibn Maajah]

قوله: "ما من مسلمين يلتقيان فيتصافحان"، أي: عقب الملاقاة مباشرة "إلا غفر لهما"، والذي يكفر بالأعمال الصالحة صغائر الذنوب المتعلقة بحق اللّه سبحانه ، وقوله: "قبل أن يتفرقا"، ففيه تأكيد أمر المصافحة والحث عليها، نعم يستثنى من الحديث المصافحة المحرمة كمصافحة المرأة الأجنبية.
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No two Muslims meet and shake hands," i.e. they shake hands immediately after meeting. "Except that their sins are forgiven," i.e. the sins that are expiated by righteous deeds are the minor sins that relate to the rights of Allah, Glorified and Exalted. "Before they part (from each other)," the statement involves a confirmation of the command and encouragement of shaking hands. Excluded from the general command of handshaking is shaking hands with non-Mahram women.

استحباب المصافحة عند اللقاء، والحث عليها. تفضيل هذه الأمة على غيرها، بأن جعل من كفارات الذنوب المصافحة.
