926 إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى أَوْحَى إلَيَّ: أَنْ تَوَاضَعُوا، حَتَّى لَا يَبْغِيَ أَحَدٌ عَلَى أَحَدٍ، وَلَا يَفْخَرَ أَحَدٌ عَلَى أَحَدٍ
Verily, Allah, the Exalted, revealed to me that you must be humble, so that no one oppresses another or boasts of oneself before another

عن عياض بن حمار رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : «إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى أَوْحَى إلَيَّ: أَنْ تَوَاضَعُوا، حَتَّى لَا يَبْغِيَ أَحَدٌ عَلَى أَحَدٍ، وَلَا يَفْخَرَ أَحَدٌ عَلَى أَحَدٍ».

‘Iyād ibn Himār (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Verily, Allah, the Exalted, revealed to me that you must be humble, so that no one oppresses another or boasts of oneself before another."

صحيح - ( رواه مسلم ). Sahih/Authentic. [Muslim]

التواضع مأمور به، وهو خلق كريم من أخلاق المؤمنين، أوحاه الله تعالى إلى نبيه محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم ، وهذا دليل على أهميته والعناية به؛ لأن من تواضع فإنه يتذلل ويستسلم عند أوامر الله تعالى فيمتثلها، وعند نواهيه فيجتنبها، و يتواضع فيما بينه وبين الناس. وفي الحديث النهي عن الافتخار والمباهاة بالمكارم والمناقب على سبيل الافتخار والعلو على الناس.
A Muslim is commanded to be humble as humbleness is an honorable trait possessed by the true believers. The command to be humble is revealed by Allah, the Exalted, to His Prophet Muhammad (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and this is clear evidence of its importance. This is because the one who humbles oneself will submit and surrender to the commands of Allah, the Exalted, and act upon them and avoid His prohibitions. Also, he will show humbleness towards people. The Hadīth forbids Muslims from taking too much pride in and boasting of the good traits and achievements they have, particularly when the motive is to behave haughtily and arrogantly with people.

في الحديث الحث على التواضع وعدم الكبر والترفع على الناس. أن من تواضع فإنه يتحلى بصفتين: 1. أنه لا يبغي على أحد 2. وأنه لا يفخر على أحد. النهي عن البغي والفخر.
