1240 من قرأ بالآيتين من آخر سورة البقرة في ليلة كفتاه
If one recites the last two verses of Sūrat al-Baqarah at night, it will suffice for him

عن أبي مسعود البدري رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: «مَنْ قَرَأَ بِالآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخر سُورَةِ البَقَرَةِ في لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاه».

Abu Mas‘ūd al-Badri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If one recites the last two verses of Sūrat al-Baqarah at night, it will suffice for him."

صحيح - ( متفق عليه ). Sahih/Authentic. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

أخبر النبي عليه الصلاة والسلام أن من قرأ الآيتين الأخيرتين من سورة البقرة في الليل قبل نومه فإن الله يكفيه الشر والمكروه، وقيل في معنى كفتاه: أي عن قيام الليل، أو كفتاه عن سائر الأوراد، أو أراد أنهما أقل ما يجزىء من القراءة في قيام الليل، وقيل غير ذلك، وكل ما ذكر صحيح يشمله اللفظ.
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said that if one recites the last two verses of Sūrat al-Baqarah at night before sleeping, Allah will suffice him against evil and disliked matters. Another interpretation suggests that reciting them would be sufficient in place of performing voluntary night prayer or any other Wird (daily portion of Qur’an recitation or worship). A third opinion assumes that it means that those two verses are the least sufficient for night prayer. The statement was interpreted in some other ways as well. In fact, all the previously mentioned meanings are valid, as they are included in the wording of the Hadīth.

بيان فضل أواخر سورة البقرة. أواخر سورة البقرة تدفع عن صاحبها السوء والشر والشيطان إذا قرأها من الليل.
The Hadīth points out the merit of the last verses of Surat al-Baqarah. The last verses of Surat al-Baqarah ward off both evil and devil if recited during the night.
