620 رَأَيْتُ رسولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم جَالِسًا مُقْعِيًا يَأْكُلُ تَمْرًا
I saw the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) eating some dates while sitting on his buttocks with his knees bent upwards

عن أنسٍ رضي الله عنه قال: رَأَيْتُ رسولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم جَالِسًا مُقْعِيًا يَأْكُلُ تَمْرًا.

Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I saw the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) eating some dates while sitting on his buttocks with his knees bent upwards.

صحيح - ( رواه مسلم ). Sahih/Authentic. [Muslim]

قال أنس رضي الله عنه : رأيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم جالسًا لاصقًا أليَتَيْهِ بالأرض ناصبا ساقيه يأكل تمرًا؛ لئلا يأكل كثيرًا، فإنه في هذه الحالة لا يكون مطمئنًا في الجلوس فلن يأكل كثيرًا.
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) eating some dates while sitting with his buttocks on the ground and his knees bent upwards. He sat that way so as not to eat much, because in this position one is not sitting comfortably so he does not eat much.

عدم الإكثار من الطعام والجلوس على المائدة طويلًا. الحث على التواضع مطلقًا، اقتداء بالنبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم-. جواز الأكل مُقعيًا.
