2169 توضأ النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم مرة مرة
The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution by washing the body parts only once

عن ابن عباس قال: توضأ النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم مرة مرة.

Ibn ‘Abbās (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution by washing the body parts only once.

صحيح - ( رواه البخاري ). Sahih/Authentic. [Al-Bukhari]

روى ابن عباس أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم توضأ فغسل كل عضو من أعضاء الوضوء مرة مرة، أي غسل الأعضاء غسلة واحدة، وهذا هو القدر المجزئ، أن يعمم العضو المغسول بالغَسل، وهو الوجه واليدان والرجلان، ويعمم العضو الممسوح بالمسح، وهو الرأس، وجاء تفصيل ذلك في الأحاديث الأخرى.
Ibn ‘Abbās (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution in which he washed the body parts only once. This is the least valid amount: to wash the parts that should be washed - the face, the hands, and the feet - only once, and to wipe over the part to be wiped - the head - only once. جواز غسل الأعضاء في الوضوء مرة واحدة.
It is permissible to wash the body parts in ablution only once.
