919 كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ- إذَا أَصْبَحَ يَقُولُ: اللَّهُمَّ بِك أَصْبَحْنَا وَبِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا، وَبِك نَحْيَا، وَبِك نَمُوتُ، وَإِلَيْك النُّشُورُ، وَإِذَا أَمْسَى قَالَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، أَلَا أَنَّهُ قَالَ: وَإِلَيْك الْمَصِ
In the morning, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to say: "O Allah, by Your leave we have reached the morning, and by Your leave we have reached the evening; by Your leave we live and by Your leave we die; and our resurrection will be to You." On the evening, he used to say the same supplication except that he would say: "and our return will be to You

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا أصبح يقول: «اللهم بك أصبحنا، وبك أمسينا، وبك نحيا، وبك نموت، وإليك النُّشُورُ» وإذا أمسى قال: «اللهم بك أمسينا، وبك نحيا، وبك نموت. وإليك المصير».

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to say on the morning: "O Allah, by Your leave we have reached the morning, and by Your leave we have reached the evening; by Your leave we live and by Your leave we die; and our resurrection will be to You." In the evening, he used to say: O Allah, by Your leave we have reached the evening; by Your leave we live and by Your leave we die; and our resurrection will be to You."

إن العبد يستعين بالله تعالى وبقدرته وقوته في بداية يومه ونهايته، ويعترف بأنه سبحانه بقدرته أوجدنا وأوجد الصباح والمساء، والحياة والموت، وإليه المرجع والمآل بعد البعث.
A Muslim should seek the aid of Allah, the Almighty, and His omnipotence and power at both the beginning and end of one's day. He acknowledges that Allah, the Almighty, brought us into existence by His omnipotence; He also created the morning, the evening, life, and death. Definitely, our return and final abode after resurrection shall be to Allah, the Almighty.

ينبغي للإنسان أن يدعو بهذا الدعاء صباحاً ومساءً، تأسياً بالنبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم-. عموم ربوبية الله في كل وقت صباحاً ومساءً. أن أشرف أوقات الذكر أول الصباح بعد الفجرلقوله: إذا أصبح، ومكذلك المساء لقوله:(إذا أمسى).
