854 ما صَلَّيْتُ خلف إمام قَطُّ أَخَفَّ صلاة، ولا أَتَمَّ صلاة من النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
I have never prayed behind an Imām who was more brief and more perfect in prayer than the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him)

عن أَنَس بن مالك رضي الله عنه مرفوعاً: «ما صَلَّيْتُ خلف إمام قَطُّ أَخَفَّ صلاة، ولا أَتَمَّ صلاة من النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ».

Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I have never prayed behind an Imām who was more brief and more perfect in prayer than the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him).

صحيح - ( متفق عليه ). Sahih/Authentic. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يأمر بالتيسير ويدعو إليه بالقول والفعل، ومن التيسير التخفيف في الصلاة مع إعطاء العبادة حقها من الكمال والتمام، فينفي أنس بن مالك أن يكون صلى خلف أي إمام من الأئمة إلا وكانت صلاته خلف الإمام الأعظم صلى الله عليه وسلم أخف، بحيث لا يشق على المأمومين، فيخرجون منها وهم فيها راغبون. ولا أتَمَّ من صلاته، فقد كان يأتي بها صلى الله عليه وسلم كاملة، فلا يخل بها، بل يكملها بالمحافظة على واجباتها ومستحباتها، وهذا من آثار بركته صلى الله عليه وسلم .
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to command people to adopt facilitation, and he used to invite them to that by words and actions. An aspect of facilitation is shortening the prayer while, at the same time, giving the act of worship its due right of completion and perfection. Anas ibn Mālik stated that he never prayed behind an Imām whose prayer was shorter than that of the great Imām, Muhammad (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) due to his making things easier for those praying behind him so that they would not leave the prayer while wishing to complete it. At the same time, no prayer was more perfect than that of the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) who used to perform it in the most perfect and complete manner, without neglecting any part; rather, he would perfect it by performing what is obligatory and what is recommended, and this was from the effects of his blessing.

مشروعية أن يأتي الإمام بالصلاة خفيفة، حتى لا يشق على المصلين، وتامة حتى لا ينقص من ثوابها شيء، فإتمامها يكون بالإتيان بواجباتها ومستحباتها، وتخفيفها يكون بعدم الإطالة الزائدة التي تشق. من صلى بالناس كصلاة النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم- فهو مخفف وإن ثقل ذلك على بعض الناس. أن صلاة النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم- أكمل صلاة؛ فليحرص المصلي على أن يجعل صلاته مثل صلاته -عليه الصلاة والسلام-؛ ليحظى بالاقتداء، ويفوز بعظيم الأجر. حسن صلاة النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم-؛ لجمعه بين التخفيف والكمال.
