792 أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم صلَّى على قبر بعد ما دُفِنَ، فَكَبَّرَ عليه أَرْبَعاً
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) prayed over a grave after he had been buried, making four Takbīrs

عن عبد الله بن عباس رضي الله عنهما : «أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم صلَّى على قبر بعدَ ما دُفِنَ، فَكَبَّرَ عليه أَرْبَعاً».

Ibn ‘Abbās (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) prayed over a grave after he had been buried, making four Takbīrs.

صحيح - ( متفق عليه ). Sahih/Authentic. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

قد جُبلَ النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم على محاسن الأخلاق، ومن ذلك ما اتصف به من الرحمة والرأفة، فما يَفْقِدُ أحداً من أصحابه حتى يسأل عنه، ويتفقد أحواله. فقد سأل عن صاحب هذا القبر، فأخبروه بوفاته، فأحب أنهم أخبروه ليصلي عليه، فإن صلاته سكنٌ للميت، ونور يزيل الظلمة التي هو فيها، فصلى على قبره كما يصلى على الميت الحاضر. صلاة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم على القبر لا يفهم منها صعوده على القبر، وإنما المعنى الوقوف بجانبه واستقباله والصلاة عليه صلاة الجنازة.
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was created with good manners, such as mercy and compassion. Whenever he missed any of his Companions, he would ask about him and check his condition. He asked about a man, and the Companions told him that he had passed away. So he wished that they would have told him so that he could have prayed over him, for the Prophet's prayer would bring tranquility to the dead and dispel the darkness in which a deceased lies. As the man was already buried, the Prophet prayed over his grave in the same way he would pray over a dead person who was not yet buried. It should be noted that the Prophet's prayer over the grave does not mean that he stood over it. Rather, he stood next to it while facing it and performed the funeral prayer.

مشروعية الصلاة على القبر، ولا يلتفت إلى من منعه، لرَدِّه النصوص بلا حجة. أن صفة الصلاة على القبر، مثل صفة الصلاة على الميت الحاضر. ما كان عليه -صلى الله عليه وسلم- من الرحمة والرأفة، وتفقد الواحد من أصحابه, مهما كانت منزلته. صلاة الجنازة جائزة في المقبرة؛ لأنها ليس فيها ركوع ولا سجود، والنهي عن الصلاة في المقبرة مخصص بالصلاة ذات الركوع والسجود المعروفة.
