638 إنَّ الله تعالى يَبْسُطُ يدَه بالليلِ ليتوبَ مسيءُ النَّهارِ، ويَبْسُطُ يدَه بالنَّهارِ ليتوبَ مسيءُ الليلِ، حتى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا
Allah, the Almighty, stretches His Hand during the night so that the sinners of the day may repent, and stretches His Hand in the day so that the sinners of the night may repent. He keeps doing so until the sun rises from the west

عن أبي موسى عبد الله بن قيس الأشعري رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: «إنَّ الله تعالى يَبْسُطُ يدَه بالليلِ ليتوبَ مسيءُ النَّهارِ، ويَبْسُطُ يدَه بالنَّهارِ ليتوبَ مسيءُ الليلِ، حتى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا».

Abu Mūsa ‘Abdullāh ibn Qays al-Ash‘ari (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah, the Almighty, stretches His Hand during the night so that the sinners of the day may repent, and stretches His Hand during the day so that the sinners of the night may repent. He keeps doing so until the sun rises from the west.''

الله عز وجل يقبل التوبة -حتى وإن تأخرت- فإذا أذنب الإنسان ذنبًا في النهار، فإن الله- تعالى- يقبل توبته ولو تاب في الليل، وكذلك إذا أذنب الإنسان ذنبًا في الليل، فإن الله- تعالى- يقبل توبته ولو تاب في النهار؛ ما لم تطلع الشمس من مغربها وهي من علامات الساعة الكبرى.
Allah, the Almighty, accepts repentance even if it is shown late. When man commits a sin in the day, Allah, the Almighty, will accept their repentance even if they repent at night. Similarly, when man commits a sin by night, Allah, the Almighty, will accept their repentance even if they repent during the day. Allah, the Almighty, accepts the repentance as long as the sun does not rise from the west, which is one of the major signs of the Last Hour.

إثبات صفة اليد لله -سبحانه وتعالى-. رحمة الله بعباده وعفوه عنهم شامل لجميع الأزمنة؛ فلا يختص بها زمان دون زمان وإن كان لبعضها مزية على غيرها. قبول التوبة مستمر ما دام بابها مفتوحًا، ويغلق بابها بمطلع الشمس من مغربها الذي هو علامة كبرى من علامات قيام الساعة. الله -سبحانه وتعالى- يقبل توبة العبد وإن تأخرت، لكن المبادرة بالتوبة هي الواجب.
