409 إذا لَقِيَ أحدُكم أخاه فَلْيُسَلِّمْ عليه، فإن حَالَتْ بينهما شجرة، أو جِدَارٌ، أو حَجَرٌ، ثم لَقِيَه، فَلْيُسَلِّمْ عليه
When anyone of you meets his brother, let him greet him with peace. If a tree, a wall, or a stone comes between them and then he meets him, let him greet him with peace

عن أبي هريرة عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: «إذا لَقِيَ أحدُكم أخاه فَلْيُسَلِّمْ عليه، فإن حَالَتْ بينهما شجرة، أو جِدَارٌ، أو حَجَرٌ، ثم لَقِيَه، فَلْيُسَلِّمْ عليه».

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When anyone of you meets his brother, let him greet him with peace. If a tree, a wall, or a stone comes between them and then he meets him, let him greet him with peace."

المسلم مأمور على سبيل الاستحباب بإلقاء السلام على أخيه المسلم كلما لقيه، حتى إن كانوا معا، ثم افترقوا لغرض من الأغراض، ثم تلاقوا ولو عن قرب، فإن من السنة أن يسلِّم عليه ولا يقول: أنا عهدي به قريب، بل يسلم عليه، ولو حالت بينهما شجرة أو جدار أو صخرة بحيث يغيب عنه فإن من السنة إذا لقيه مرة ثانية أن يُسَلِّم عليه.
It is recommended for a Muslim to greet his fellow Muslim with peace whenever he meets him. Even if they are together and part for some reason and meet again, even shortly, it is recommended to greet him with peace. One should not say that he has just met his brother and there is no need to greet him again. Even if they are separated by a tree, a wall, or a rock, in such a way that they cannot see each other, it is recommended to greet him with peace immediately when they meet.

استحباب السلام عند كل لقاء ولو فصل بين اللقاءين ، شجرة أو حجر كبير أو جدار. شدَّة حرصه -صلى الله عليه وسلم- على إفشاء سنة السلام والمبالغة فيه؛ لما فيه من جلب المودة والألفة بين المسلمين.
