316 الطيرة شرك، الطيرة شرك، وما منا إلا، ولكن الله يذهبه بالتوكل
Belief in evil omens is polytheism. Belief in evil omens is polytheism. Everyone of us experienced something of that, but Allah dispels it with reliance on Him

عن عبد الله بن مسعود رضي الله عنه مرفوعاً: "الطِّيَرَةُ شِرْكٌ، الطِّيَرَةُ شِرْكٌ، وما منا إلا، ولكنَّ الله يُذْهِبُهُ بالتوكل". (وما منا إلا، ولكنَّ الله يُذْهِبُهُ بالتوكل) من قول ابن مسعود وليس مرفوعًا.

‘Abdullāh ibn Mas‘ūd (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Belief in evil omens is polytheism. Belief in evil omens is polytheism. Everyone of us experienced something of that, but Allah dispels it with reliance on Him.'' ''Everyone of us experienced something of that, but Allah dispels it with reliance on Him” was said by Ibn Mas‘ūd not the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him).

الرسول -صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ- يخبر ويكرر الإخبار؛ ليتقرر مضمونه في القلوب، أن الطيرة -وهي التشاؤم الذي يمنع الشخص من فعل أو يدفعه إليه- شرك؛ لما فيها من تعلق القلب على غير الله وسوء الظن به. وقال ابن مسعود: وما منا من أحد إلا وقد وقع في قلبه شيء من التشاؤم، ولكن الله يُذهب هذا التشاؤم بالتوكل والاعتماد عليه، وهذا -والله أعلم- على سبيل التواضع والمبالغة، مع بيان العلاج إذا حصل ذلك.
The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) says and repeats, for the sake of emphasis, that belief in evil omens which makes one refrain from doing something or drives him to do it is polytheism, because it entails having one's heart attached to others than Allah and having ill expectations of Him. Ibn Mas‘ūd said that everyone of us experienced something of that pessimism, but Allah removes this feeling with reliance on Him. He might have said that out of modesty and exaggeration coupled with clarification of the treatment in case it happens.

أن الطيرة شركٌ؛ لأن فيها تعلق القلب على غير الله. مشروعية تكرار إلقاء المسائل المهمة؛ لتحفظَ وتستقر في القلوب. أن الله يذهب الطيرة بالتوكل عليه، فلا تضر من وجد في نفسه شيئاً منها ثم توكَّل على الله ولم يلتفت إليها. استحباب تأكيد الأمر الهام.
