2140 إذا قضى الله لعبد أن يموت بأرض جعل له إليها حاجة
If Allah decreed that someone should die in a certain land, He makes for him a reason to go there

عَنْ مَطَرِ بْنِ عُكَامِسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: (إِذَا قَضَى اللَّهُ لِعَبْدٍ أَنْ يَمُوتَ بِأَرْضٍ جَعَلَ لَهُ إِلَيْهَا حَاجَةً).

Matar ibn ‘Ukāmis reported: The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If Allah decreed that someone should die in a certain land, He makes for him a reason to go there."

صحيح - ( رواه الترمذي ). Sahih/Authentic. [At-Tirmidhi]

معنى الحديث: إذا قضى الله أي إذا أراد أو قدر أو حكم، لعبد أن يموت بأرض بأن تكون نهاية أجله في الدنيا بموضع معين وهو غير موجود فيها، جعل له أي أظهر الله له إليها حاجة، فيأتيها فيقبض فيها ويموت فيها، كما في قوله تعالى: {وما تدري نفس بأي أرض تموت}.
"If Allah decreed": i.e., wanted, predestined, or ruled - that a person should die in a certain land and his life in this world should end in a specific location where he does not exist, "Allah makes for him": i.e., reveals to him - a reason to go there. And when he is there, he dies. Allah Almighty says: {Nor does any soul know in which land it will die.}

التنبيه على التيقظ للموت والاستعداد له بالطاعة. كل شيء بقدر الله وقضائه.
The Hadīth urges us to be heedful of death and be prepared for it by doing good deeds. Everything happens by Allah's decree and predestination.
