The son of Mariyam will soon descend among you

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ، لَيُوشِكَنَّ أَنْ يَنْزِلَ فِيكُمْ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ حَكَمًا مُقْسِطًا، فَيَكْسِرَ الصَّلِيبَ، وَيَقْتُلَ الخِنْزِيرَ، وَيَضَعَ الجِزْيَةَ، وَيَفِيضَ المَالُ حَتَّى لاَ يَقْبَلَهُ أَحَدٌ».

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By the One in Whose hand my soul is, the son of Mary will soon descend among you as a just judge. He will break the cross, kill the pig, and abolish the tribute, and the wealth will be abundant to such an extent that no one will accept it."

يُقسِم النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم على قرب ودُنُوِّ نزول عيسى ابن مريم عليه السَّلام في هذه الأمّة عادِلًا وحاكِمًا بهذه الشَّريعة المحمَّديَّة، فإن شريعة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم لا تُنْسَخ، فيكسر عيسى عليه السلام الصليب، إشعارًا بأنَّ النَّصارى كانوا على الباطل في تعظيمه، وإبطالًا للنَّصرانيَّة، وحكمًا بدين الإسلام، ويقتل الخنزير، والمعنى تحريم اقتنائه وأكله، وإباحة قتله، وفيه الإشارة إلى أن أعيانها نجسة، ويترك الجزية، التي تؤخذ من الكفار مقابل إقراره على دينه، فلا يقبلها، بل يأمر بالإسلام ويحمِل النّاسَ عليه، فإنها كانت تؤخذ في زماننا لحاجتنا إلى المال، كما في حديث آخر: (أحل الله لنا الغنائم رأى ضعفنا وعجزنا فأحلها لنا)، متفق عليه، وأما في زمن عيسى عليه الصلاة والسلام، فيكثر المال وتفتح الكنوز حتى لا يجد أحد من يقبل منه، ولأن الحق قد ظهر وانتشر والحجة قائمة، فلذلك ولغيره يترك أخذ الجزية، ويكثر المال حتى لا يقبل به أحد، والسبب نزول البركات، وتَوالي الخيرات، وقلة الرغبات؛ لقصر الآمال لعلمهم بقرب يوم القيامة.
The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) swears in the Hadīth at the imminence and descending of ‘Īsa (Jesus), the son of Mariyam (Mary), and that he will come as a just judge who will rule by Prophet Muhammad's Shariah, which will not be superseded. ‘Īsa (peace be upon him) will break the cross, thus proclaiming that the Christians were wrong in their extolment of him, abolishing Christianity, and ruling by the religion of Islam. He will kill the pig, which means the prohibition of acquiring or consuming it and the lawfulness of killing it; this also indicates that its very body is impure. He will also abolish the tribute, which is taken from the disbelievers in return for acknowledgment of their adherence to their own religion. He will not accept it; rather, he will command people to embrace Islam and make them to do so. The tribute was taken before the era of ‘Īsa for known reasons. But when he comes, wealth will be so abundant that no one will be in need of money, and the truth will be dominant and prevalent and the argument well-established. Hence, he will refrain from taking the tribute. Money will increase so much that nobody will accept it, and this is because blessings will descend from heaven and people will have little aspirations due to their knowledge that the Day of Judgment is imminent.

جواز الحلف مِن غير استِحلاف؛ مبالغةً في تأكيد الخبر. إثبات نزول عيسى عليه السلام آخر الزمان. شريعة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم لا ينسخها غيرها. التأكيد على بطلان تعظيم النصارى للصليب؛ إذ إنّ في كسره إبطالًا لأمره، وإسقاطًا لحكمه. أنّ الخنزير حرام في شريعة عيسى عليه الصلاة والسلام، وفي قتلِه له تكذيبٌ للنَّصارى أنَّه حلال في شريعتهم. الدليل على نجاسة الخنزير. نزول البركات في المال آخر الزمان، مع زُهد النّاس فيه؛ لكثرته، وعدم الحاجة إليه، وقِلَّة الرَّغبة فيه. نزول عيسى عليه السلام وتحكيم شريعة الإسلام، وشريعة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم مِن أشراط الساعة التي يجب الإيمان بها.
