2086 لن يفلح قومٌ وَلَّوا أمرهم امرأةً
A people who appointed a woman to be in charge of their affairs will never succeed

عن أبي بَكْرَةَ رضي الله عنه قال: لقد نَفَعني الله بكلمة سمعتُها من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أيَّام الجَمَل، بعد ما كدْتُ أنْ ألْحَقَ بأصحاب الجَمَل فَأُقاتِل معهم، قال: لمَّا بلَغَ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أن أهل فَارِس، قد مَلَّكوا عليهم بنت كِسْرَى، قال: «لن يُفْلِح قوم ولَّوْا أمْرَهُم امرَأة».

Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: During the days (of the battle) of the Camel, Allah benefited me with a word that I had heard from the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) after I had been about to join the Companions of the Camel and fight along with them. When the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was informed that the Persians had crowned the daughter of Khosrow as their ruler, he said: "A people who appointed a woman to be in charge of their affairs will never succeed.”

يذكر أبو بكرة رضي الله عنه أن الله تعالى قد نفعه أيام وقعة الجمل المشهورة، بكلمة سمعها من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ، وكان انتفاع أبي بكرة رضي الله عنه بتلك الكلمة أن حفظته من الخروج والمشاركة في الفتنة، حيث أخبر أنه سمع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لما بلغه أن الفرس ملَّكوا عليهم ابنة ملكهم بعد موته يقول: «لن يفلح قوم ولوا أمرهم امرأة»، والمعنى أنه لا يظفر بالخير ولا يبلغ ما فيه النفع لأمته من جعل للمرأة ولاية عامة من رئاسة أو وزارة أو إدارة أو قضاء، ونحوه؛ وذلك لأن الله تعالى فضَّل الرِّجال على النِّساء في أصل الخِلْقة، وأعطاهم ما لم يعطهنَّ من الحول والقوَّة، فكانوا أنسب لتولي مثل هذه المناصب.
Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) says that Allah, the Almighty, benefited him on the battle of the Camel with a word that he had heard from the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him). That benefit was such that he did not set forth to participate in the civil strife. He had heard the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) say — when he was told that the Persians crowned the daughter of Khosrow as their queen after her father's death: "A people who appointed a woman to be in charge of their affairs will never succeed.'' It means that those who give women high public positions of presidency, ministry, management, or judiciary achieve no good to the nation. The reason is that Allah, the Almighty, gave men a merit over women in their own nature and made men stronger and more resourceful than women in taking up such positions.

أن النساء لا يلين الإمارة ولا القضاء بين الناس, ونحو ذلك من الولايات العامة. أن المرأة لا تزوج نفسها ولا تلي العقد على غيرها من النساء. لا تصح إمامة المرأة للرجل. ما كان عليه أبو بكرة -رضي الله عنه- من الفقه في الدين، حيث استدل بهذا الحديث على أن مناصرة عائشة -رضي الله تعالى- عنها في هذا الأمر ليس محمودًا. بيان قصور عقل المرأة, وأنها لا تشارك الرجل في الولايات العامة, وأن توليها مثل ذلك سبب لعدم الفلاح.
