2080 الغلام مرتهن بعقيقته يذبح عنه يوم السابع، ويسمى، ويحلق رأسه
A child is held in pledge for his ‘Aqīqah which should be slaughtered on his behalf on the seventh day after his birth, and he should be given a name, and his head should be shaved

عن سمرة قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : «الغلام مُرْتَهَنٌ بِعَقِيقَتِهِ يُذْبَحُ عنه يوم السابع، ويُسَمَّى، ويُحْلَق رأسه».

Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A child is held in pledge for his ‘Aqīqah which should be slaughtered on his behalf on the seventh day after his birth, and he should be given a name, and his head should be shaved."

صحيح - ( رواه أبو داود والترمذي والنسائي وابن ماجه وأحمد والدارمي ). Sahih/Authentic. [Ibn Maajah]

في هذا الحديث يخبر النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أن المولود يكون محبوساً بعقيقته تذبح عنه في اليوم السابع من ولادته، ويُستحب في نفس اليوم تسمية المولود، وحلق شعر رأسه، والحلق خاص بالمولود الذكر.
In this Hadīth, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) says that a newborn is in pledge for his ‘Aqīqah that is to be slaughtered on his behalf on the seventh day after his birth. It is recommended to name him on the same day and to shave his head. Shaving is for males only.

أن قوله "مرتهن بعقيقته" يدل على تأكيد هذه الشعيرة، وأنَّه لا ينبغي إهمالها، فمن أحياها، فقد أحيا سنَّة أمر بها النَّبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم-، وعمل بها. معنى ارتهان الغلام بعقيقته أنها لازمة لزوم الرهن في يد المرتهن. أن وقت ذبح العقيقة هو اليوم السابع استحبابًا لا وجوبًا. أن تسمية المولود تكون في اليوم السابع. مشروعية حلق رأس المولود في اليوم السابع.
