1905 أعلنوا النكاح
Announce marriages

عن عامر بن عبد الله بن الزبير، عن أبيه، أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "أعْلِنُوا النِّكاح".

‘Āmir ibn ‘Abdullāh ibn Az-Zubayr reported from his father that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Announce marriages."

دل الحديث على مشروعية إعلان الزواج وإشهاره ونشر خبره بين الناس، إظهارًا للسرور وتمييزًا له عن نكاح السِّرِّ، وضابط الإعلان العرف، ومن وسائل الإعلان الوليمة والإشهاد وتشييع الزوج وقت الذهاب بزوجته وضرب الدف ونحو ذلك.
This Hadīth encourages announcing and publicizing marriages as well as communicating information regarding them to the people as a means of showing joy and in order to make them different from secret marriages. Customs and traditions regulate the ways to announce marriages. The means of announcing marriages include wedding banquets, having witnesses, accompanying and celebrating the husband when he leaves with the bride, beating the duff (big tambourine), blowing the horns of cars, and so on.

مشروعية إعلان النكاح. من إعلان النكاح الإشهاد عليه عند عقده. أن إعلان النكاح يدخل فيه صنع الوليمة والضرب بالدف.
