1781 رأى عيسى ابن مريم رجلًا يسرق، فقال له: أسرقت؟ قال: كلا والله الذي لا إله إلا هو، فقال عيسى: آمنت بالله، وكذبت عيني
‘Īsa the Son of Maryam saw a person stealing. Thereupon, ‘Īsa said to him: Did you steal? He said: No, by the One besides Whom there is no god. So ‘Īsa said: I believed in Allah and disbelieved my eyes

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ««رأى عيسى ابنُ مريم رجلًا يَسْرِق، فقال له: أسَرَقتَ؟ قال: كلا والله الذي لا إله إلا هو، فقال عيسى: آمنتُ بالله، وكذَّبتُ عيني».

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "‘Īsa the Son of Maryam saw a person stealing. Thereupon, ‘Īsa asked him: 'Did you steal?' He said: 'No, by the One besides Whom there is no god.' So ‘Īsa said: 'I believed in Allah and disbelieved my eyes (what my eyes saw).'

صحيح - ( متفق عليه ). Sahih/Authentic. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

رأى عيسى ابنُ مريم -عليه السلام- رجلًا يسرق، فقال له: أسرقتَ؟ فحلف له بالله الذي لا إله إلا هو أنه ما سرق. فقال عيسى: «آمنتُ بالله، وكذَّبتُ عيني» أي: صدَّقت مَن حلف بالله تعالى وكذبت ما ظهر لي من سرقته؛ فلعله أخذ شيئًا له فيه حق، أو أخذه بإذن صاحبه، أو لم يقصد الغصب والاستيلاء، أو أخذه لينظر فيه، أو غير ذلك، وهذا من تعظيم الأنبياء لله تعالى .
‘Īsa the Son Maryam (peace be upon him) saw a man stealing. He asked the man if he had stolen. The man swore by Allah that he had not. So ‘Īsa said that he believed in Allah and disbelieved in his own eyes. This means that he believed the man, for he swore by Allah, and ruled out that he ostensibly stole. The man could have taken something that belonged to him, or with its owner's permission, or not meaning to seize it unlawfully, or merely to look into it, etc. This illustrates how much the prophets glorify Allah, the Most High.

تعظيم عيسى لله -عز وجل-. درء الحد بالشبهة. منع قضاء القاضي بعلمه، وإنما يقضي بالبينات.
