1773 ما أغبط أحدا بهون موت بعد الذي رأيت من شدة موت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم
I do not covet someone to have an easy death, after seeing the difficult death of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him)

عن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت: «ما أَغْبِطُ أحدًا بهَوْنٍ موتٍ بَعْدَ الذي رَأَيتُ مِنْ شدَّة مَوْت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ».

‘Ā'ishah reported: I do not covet someone to have an easy death, after seeing the difficult death of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him).

صحيح - ( رواه الترمذي ). Sahih/Authentic. [At-Tirmidhi]

تقول عائشة: إنها لا تفرح لأحد بسهولة الموت، ولا تتمنى أن تكون سهلة الموت، بعد الذي رأته من شدَّة موت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ، فقد علمت أن شدة الموت ليست دليلًا على سوء عاقبة المتوفى، وأن سهولة الموت ليست من المكرمات، وإلا لكان صلى الله عليه وسلم أولى الناس به، فلا تكره شدة الموت لأحد، ولا تفرح لأحد يموت من غير شدة.
‘Ā'ishah says that she would not be happy for anyone, even herself, to have an easy death, as she had seen the difficult death of the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him). The point here is that a difficult death is not evidence of a bad ending and an easy death is not a sign of a noble end, otherwise, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) would be the most deserving of that. So a hard death should not be disliked nor an easy death be rejoiced.

شدة الموت على رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم-. شدة الموت أو سهولته ليس من الأدلة على سوء عاقبة الميت أو حسنها.
