1768 قول يوسف بن عبد الله بن سلام رضي الله عنهما : سماني رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يوسفَ، وأجلسني في حجره
Yūsuf ibn ‘Abdullāh ibn Salām (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) named me Yūsuf and seated me on his lap

عن يوسف بن عبد الله بن سلام رضي الله عنهما قال: «سَمَّاني رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يوسف، وأَجْلَسَنِي في حِجْره».

Yūsuf ibn ‘Abdullāh ibn Salām (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) named me Yūsuf and seated me on his lap.

صحيح - ( رواه أحمد ). Sahih/Authentic. [Ahmad]

يخبر يوسف بن عبد الله بن سلام رضي الله عنهما في هذا الحديث أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم هو الذي سماه يوسف، وأنه أجلسه في حِجْره، وذلك من حسن خلق النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ومن التواضع والرحمة بالصغار.
In this Hadīth, Yūsuf ibn ‘Abdullāh ibn Salām (may Allah be pleased with him) tells that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) was the one who named him Yūsuf, and he seated him on his lap. This Hadīth demonstrates the noble morals of the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and his modesty and mercy with little children.

في الحديث فضيلة ليوسف بن عبد الله بن سلام، وأن النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم- هو الذي سماه بهذا الاسم وأنه أجلسه في حجره. فيه بيان لما كان عليه النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم- من التواضع والرحمة بالصغار. مشروعية التسمي بأسماء الأنبياء.
