1683 إن الله اصطفى كنانة من ولد إسماعيل، واصطفى قريشا من كنانة، واصطفى بني هاشم من قريش، واصطفاني من بني هاشم، فأنا سيد ولد آدم ولا فخر، وأول من تنشق عنه الأرض، وأول شافع، وأول مشفع
Allah selected Kinānah from the children of Isma‘īl, Quraysh from Kinānah, the children of Hāshim from Quraysh, and me from the children of Hāshim. So I am the master of the children of Adam, without pride. And I am the first for which the earth will be split open, and I am the first intercessor, and the first to be granted intercession

عن واثلة بن الأسقع رضي الله عنه ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : «إنَّ اللهَ اصْطَفى كِنانَة من وَلَد إسماعيل، واصْطَفى قُريشًا من كِنانة، واصْطَفى بَني هاشم مِنْ قُرَيش، واصْطَفاني مِنْ بني هاشم، فأنا سَيِّدُ وَلَد آدم ولا فَخْر، وأوَّلُ مَن تَنْشَقُّ عنه الأرض، وأوَّلُ شافع، وأوَّل مُشَفَّع».

Wāthilah ibn al-Asqa‘ (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah selected Kinānah from the children of Isma‘īl, Quraysh from Kinānah, the children of Hāshim from Quraysh, and me from the children of Hāshim. So I am the master of the children of Adam, without pride. And I am the first for which the earth will be split open, and I am the first intercessor, and the first to be granted intercession."

في الحديث أن الله تعالى اختار كنانة وفضّله على أبناء إسماعيل من العرب، واختار قريشًا وفضّلهم على بقية قبيلة كنانة، واختار بني هاشم وفضّلهم على بقية قبيلة قريش، واختار محمدًا صلى الله عليه وسلم وفضّله على بني هاشم، فهو صلى الله عليه وسلم سيد ولد آدم كلهم، وأعظمهم فضلًا، وهو بذلك لا يفخر على أحد، إنما يبلغ ما أوحاه الله إليه، وهو كذلك صلى الله عليه وسلم أول من يُبعث يوم القيامة، وأول من يشفع، وأول من تُقبل شفاعته.
This Hadīth says that Allah, the Exalted, selected Kinānah and gave him eminence over the children of Isma‘īl from among the Arabs. Then Allah chose Quraysh and gave them precedence over the tribe of Kinānah. Then Allah chose the children of Hāshim and gave them merit over the rest of the tribe of Quraysh. Then Allah selected Muhammad (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and gave him eminence over the children of Hāshim. So the Prophet is the master of the children of Adam, the best of them in virtue and in this capacity of him, and he is not arrogantly proud. He is just conveying the divine revelation in this respect. Also, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) will be the first one to be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection, the first one to intercede, and the first one whose intercession will be accepted.

أن النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم- سيد ولد آدم فى الدنيا والآخرة، وأنه -صلى الله عليه وسلم- أفضل من جميع بني آدم وجميع الأنبياء والمرسلين, وإليه يلجأ الناس جميعهم يوم القيامة ليشفع لهم في موقف يوم القيامة. النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم- أول من يُبعث من قبره ويحضر في المحشر. النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم- أول من يشفع وأول من تُقبل شفاعته يوم القيامة. ثبوت الشفاعة لغيره -صلى الله عليه وسلم- من الأنبياء والملائكة والمؤمنين. جواز التحدث بنعمة الله -عز وجل- على عبده؛ إذا أمن بها العجب والفخر، وخلص من الكبر.
