1499 أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم نهى أن يَنْتَعِلَ الرَّجُل قائما
The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) forbade that a man wears his shoes while standing

عن جابر رضي الله عنه : أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم نهى أن يَنْتَعِلَ الرَّجُل قائمًا.

Jābir (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) forbade that a man wears his shoes while standing.

صحيح - ( رواه أبو داود والترمذي وابن ماجه ). Sahih/Authentic. [Ibn Maajah]

هذا الحديث فيه النهي عن لبُس النعال قائما؛ لأن لبُسها وهو قاعد أسهل وأمكن، وهذا الحكم مختص فيما إذا كان النَّعل يحتاج إلى معالجة في إدخاله في الرِّجْل؛ لأن الإنسان لو انتعل قائما والنَّعل يحتاج إلى معالجة فربما يسقط إذا رفع رجله ليصلح النَّعل، أما النِّعال المعروفة الآن فلا بأس أن ينتعل الإنسان وهو قائم ولا يدخل ذلك في النهي؛ لأن نعالنا الموجودة يسهل خلعها ولبسها من غير حاجة إلى الجلوس. ولا فرق بين الرجل والمرأة في الحكم؛ لأن الأحكام الشرعية لا تفرق بين الرجل والمرأة إلا ما دلَّ الدليل على التخصيص. وأما تخصيص الحديث هنا بالرَّجُل؛ فلأن الرجال هم أكثر خروجا وبروزا من المرأة فلذلك خصهم بالذكر.
This Hadīth includes a prohibition of wearing the shoes while standing, because wearing them while sitting is easier and provides more control. This ruling applies only if the shoes need some handling, because wearing them while standing might cause one to lose balance when lifting the leg. Nowadays, however, it is fine to wear shoes while standing. The prohibition does not apply here because the shoes we wear today are easy to handle without a need to sitting down. Finally, the rulings of Shariah apply to men and women alike with no distinction, unless there is textual proof that specifies a ruling to either gender. Men are specifically mentioned in this Hadīth, because they normally go out more frequently.

كراهة لبس النعل حال القيام، واستحباب القعود حين الانتعال، وذلك إذا كان يحتاج إلى الاستعانة بيده في لبسه، فإذا لم يحتج للاستعانة بيده فلا كراهة. اهتمام الإسلام بالآداب حتى في كيفية لبس النعل، ليبدو المسلم على أحسن حال.
