1485 إن اليهود والنصارى لا يَصْبغُونَ، فخَالِفُوهم
The Jews and Christians do not dye (their grey hair), so do the opposite of what they do

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: «إن اليهود والنصارى لا يصبغون، فخالفوهم».

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: “The Jews and Christians do not dye (their grey hair), so do the opposite of what they do.”

صحيح - ( متفق عليه ). Sahih/Authentic. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

يخبر أبو هريرة رضي الله عنه أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أخبرهم بأن اليهود والنصارى أي لا يصبغون شعر رؤوسهم ولِحاهم، بل يتركون الشَّيب فيها على حاله، فأمر أن يخالفوهم بصبغ الشَّعر، وخضب اللحية والرأس.
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) told the Companions that the Jews and Christians do not dye their hair or beards; rather, they leave grey hair as it is. So he ordered them to do the opposite of what the Jews and Christians do by dying their hair and beards.

استحباب صبغ الشَّيب بالحناء وغيره، سواء كان في اللحية أم في غيرها. الحث على مخالفة اليهود والنصارى في عوائدهم وما كان من شأنهم من مظهر ولباس وغير ذلك. للمسلم شخصية متميزة عن غيره في مَلْبَسِه وهنْدَامِه وسُلوكِه، فليحرص كل مسلم على التزام السنة النبوية المطهرة، ولا يليق به تقليد غير المسلمين في شؤونهم.
