1428 بعث رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم سرية، فأصابهم البرد فلما قدموا على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أمرهم أن يمسحوا على العصائب والتساخين
The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) dispatched an expedition, but they came across cold weather. When they returned to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him), he ordered them to wipe over their turbans and socks

عن ثوبان رضي الله عنه ، قال: «بعث رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم سَرِيَّةً، فأصابهم البَرْد فلما قَدِموا على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أمَرَهُم أن يَمْسَحوا على الْعَصَائِب والتَّسَاخِين».

Thawbān (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) dispatched an expedition, but they came across cold weather. When they returned to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) he ordered them to wipe over their turbans and socks.

يخبر ثوبان رضي الله عنه أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بعث جماعة من أصحابه لملاقاة الكفار، وفي أثناء سيرهم شَقَّ عليهم خلع العمائم والخفاف بسبب برودة الجو، فلما قدموا المدينة أخبروا النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بذلك، فأباح لهم المسح على العمائم وعلى الخفاف، سواء كانت من الجلود أو من الصوف أو من الخِرق، تسهيلا وتيسيرا على المكلفين، فكان ذلك سنة ثابتة حضرا وسفرا لعذر ولغير عذر.
Thawbān (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) dispatched a group of his Companions to face the non-believers. While they were marching, the cold weather made it difficult for them to remove their turbans and socks. When they returned to Madīnah, they related this to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) who permitted them to wipe over their turbans and socks, regardless of whether they were made from leather, wool, or cloth, as a facilitation and lightening of their burden. This practice is observed equally for residents and travelers, with an excuse or without any.

جواز المسح على العمامة، والخفاف في السفر، ويقاس عليه الحضر؛ لأن الرخصة عامة. ظاهر الحديث جواز المسح على العمامة ولو لم تكن محنكة أي ملوية على الحنك أو لها ذؤابة لإطلاق النصوص، فمتى شُدَّت العمامة على الرأس جاز المسح عليها. مشروعية بعث السرايا، لكن بشرط ألا يكون في هذا البعث إلقاء بالنفس إلى التهلكة، مثل أن يرسل سرية إلى جيش تبلغ آلافا ، فهنا لا يجوز ؛ لقوله تعالى: ( ولا تلقوا بأنفسكم إلى التهلكة )[النساء : 29]. يُسر الشريعة الإسلامية. جواز تأخير البيان إلى وقت الحاجة.
