1247 الكرسي موضع القدمين، والعرش لا يقدر أحد قدره
The Kursi is the resting place of the feet, and the size of the Throne cannot be estimated

عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما موقوفًا عليه: «الكُرسِيُّ مَوْضِع القَدَمَين، والعَرْش لا يَقْدِرُ أحدٌ قَدْرَه».

Ibn ‘Abbās (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The Kursi is the resting place of the feet, and the size of the Throne cannot be estimated."

صحيح موقوفًا على ابن عباس -رضي الله عنهما - ( رواه عبد الله بن أحمد في السنة، وابن خزيمة في التوحيد ). Sahih/Authentic. [Ibn Khuzaymah in At-Tawheed]

«الكُرسِيُّ مَوْضِع القَدَمَين» أي: الكرسي الذي أضافه الله إلى نفسه هو موضع قدميه تعالى ، وهذا المعنى الذي ذكره ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما في الكرسي هو المشهور بين أهل السنة، وهو المحفوظ عنه، وما رُوي عنه أن الكرسي هو العلم؛ فغير محفوظ، وكذلك ما رُوي عن الحسن أن الكرسي هو العرش؛ ضعيف لا يصح عنه، وفي ذلك إثبات صفة القدمين لله تعالى على ما يليق بعظمته دون تكييف أو تمثيل أو تأويل أو تعطيل، «والعَرْش لا يَقْدِرُ أحدٌ قَدْرَه» أي: العرش الذي استوى الله تعالى عليه مخلوق عظيم، وأما مقدار حجمه وسعته فلا يعلمها إلا الله تعالى .
The Kursi, which Allah has attributed to Himself, is the resting place of His feet. This interpretation of the 'Kursi' that Ibn ‘Abbās (may Allah be pleased with him) mentioned is widely known among Ahl As-Sunnah, and it was authentically reported from him. Ibn ‘Abbās was also reported to have interpreted the 'Kursi' as knowledge, but this is not proven to be transmitted on his authority. Also what was reported on the authority of al-Hasan that the 'Kursi' is the Throne, is weak and inauthentic. The Throne that Allah, the Almighty, is above is a great creation, and it is only Allah, the Almighty, who knows Its size and capacity.

الكرسي الذي أضافه الله إلى نفسه هو موضع قدميه -تعالى-. تفسير الكرسي بالعلم لا يُعرف في اللغة، ولا يصح عن السلف. إثبات القدمين لله عز وجل من غير تكييف ولا تمثيل ومن غير تحريف ولا تعطيل العرش والكرسي مخلوقان عظيمان.
