عن المغيرة بن شعبة رضي الله عنه قال: ((كُنت مع النبيَّ -صلَّى الله عليه وسلَّم- في سَفَر، فأهْوَيت لِأَنزِع خُفَّيه، فقال: دَعْهُما؛ فإِنِّي أدخَلتُهُما طَاهِرَتَين، فَمَسَح عليهما)). Al-Mughīrah ibn Shu‘bah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Once I was in the company of the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) on a journey and I bent down to take off his leather socks, but he asked me to leave them as he had put them on after performing ablution. So, he wiped over them.
