عن عبد الله بن عُمر رضي الله عنهما قال: «صحبت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فكان لا يزيد في السَّفَر على ركعتين، وأبا بكر وعُمر وعُثْمان كذلك». ‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I accompanied the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) on his journeys, and he would not perform more than two Rak‘ahs. Abu Bakr, ‘Umar, and ‘Uthmān used to do the same.
