عن عائشةُ -رضي اللهُ عنها- مرفوعًا: «تُقْطَعُ الْيَدُ فِي رُبْعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِداً». ‘Ā’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: ''The hand of a thief is to be cut off for a quarter of a dinar or more."
