عن عبد الله بن مسعود رضي الله عنه مرفوعًا: «ليس مِنْ نَفْسٍ تُقْتَلُ ظُلماً إِلاَّ كَان على ابنِ آدَمَ الأَوَّل كِفْلٌ مِن دمِهَا؛ لِأَنَّه كان أوَّل مَن سَنَّ القَتْلَ». ‘Abdullāh ibn Mas‘ūd (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No soul gets killed wrongfully without the first son of Adam taking guilt for its blood because he was the first to institute the practice of murder."
