عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه مرفوعاً: "لا عَدْوَى ولا طِيَرَة ولا هَامَةَ ولا صَفَرَ" أخرجاه. زاد مسلم "ولا نَوْءَ ولا غُولَ". Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: “There is no contagion, nor is there any evil omen in birds, nor is there any evil omen in the owl, nor is there any bad omen in the month of Safar” [Al-Bukhāri and Muslim]. The narration of Muslim has the following addition: "nor is there any omen in the moon phase, nor is there any ghoul.”
