عن أنس بن مالك رضي الله عنه قال: لمَّا ثَقُل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم جَعَل يَتَغَشَّاه الكَرب، فقالت فاطمة رضي الله عنها : واكَربَ أَبَتَاه، فقال: «لَيسَ عَلَى أَبِيك كَرب بعد اليوم». فلما مات، قالت: يا أَبَتَاه، أجاب ربًّا دَعَاه! يا أبَتَاه، جَنَّة الفِردَوس مَأوَاه! يا أبتاه، إلى جبريل نَنعَاه! فلمَّا دُفِن قالت فاطمة رضي الله عنها : أَطَابَت أَنفُسُكُم أَن تَحثُوا عَلَى رسُولِ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم التُّراب؟! Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: When the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) suffered the agony of death, Fātimah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "O father, what a severe agony!" The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your father will suffer no more agony after this day." When he passed away, she said: "Father, Allah has called you back and you have responded to His call. Father, the Garden of Firdaus (the highest level of Paradise) is your abode. Father, we announce your death to Jibrīl." When he was buried, she said: "Did you feel comfortable to put dust over the Messenger of Allah!"
