عن عبد الله بن عمرو قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : "يقال لصاحب القرآن: اقرأ وارتق، ورتل كما كنت ترتل في الدنيا، فإن منزلك عند آخر آية تقرؤها". ‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It will be said to the one devoted to the Qur’an: Read, ascend, and recite with deliberation as you used to recite in the world. Your rank will be at the last verse you recite."
