عن ابن أبي عَمَّار قال: قلت لجابر: الضَّبْع صَيْدٌ هي؟ قال: «نعم»، قال: قلتُ: آكُلُها؟ قال: «نعم»، قال: قلتُ له: أَقَالَهُ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ؟ قال: «نعم». Ibn Abi ‘Ammār reported: I said to Jābir: "Are hyenas a type of game (animal)?" Jābir replied: ‘Yes.’ I asked: "Did the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) say that?" He replied: 'Yes.'
