عن ابن عمر، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : «كل مُسْكِرٍ خَمْرٌ، وكل مُسْكِرٍ حرام، ومن شرِب الخمر في الدنيا فمات وهو يُدْمِنُهَا لَمْ يَتُبْ، لَمْ يَشْرَبْهَا في الآخرة». ‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: ''Every intoxicant is alcohol, and every intoxicant is prohibited. He who drinks alcohol in this world and dies while he is addicted to it, not having repented, will not drink it in the Hereafter.''
