عن سمرة بن جندب رضي الله عنه قال: لقد كنت على عَهْدِ رسولِ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم غُلاما، فكنت أحفظ عنه، فما يمنعني من القول إلا أن هاهنا رِجَالًا هم أَسَنُّ مِنِّي. Samurah ibn Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I was a boy during the time of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and I used to memorize some of what he said. Nothing prevented me from narrating (what I learned) except that there were men here who were older than me.
