عن علي رضي الله عنه قال: ما رأيتُ النبيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُفَدِّي رجلًا بعد سعد سمعتُه يقول: «ارم فداك أبي وأمي». ‘Alī (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I never saw the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) ask that his parents be sacrificed for anyone after Sa‘d. I heard him say: 'Shoot your arrow, may my mother and father be sacrificed for you.
