عن عقبة بن عامر رضي الله عنه : أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: «ألَمْ تَرَ آيَاتٍ أُنْزِلَتْ هذِهِ اللَّيْلَةَ لَمْ يُرَ مِثْلُهُنَّ قَطُّ؟ (قل أعوذ برب الفلق) و(قل أعوذ برب الناس)». ‘Uqbah ibn ‘Āmir (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Have you not seen that some verses were revealed (to me) tonight the like of which has never been seen before? They are: {Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the daybreak} [Sūrat al-Falaq: 1] and {Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of mankind.} [Sūrat An-Nās: 1]"
