عن جابر رضي الله عنه قال: أُتِيَ بأبي قُحَافَة والد أبي بكر الصديق رضي الله عنهما ، يوم فتح مكة ورأسه ولحيته كَالثَّغَامَةِ بياضًا. فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : «غَيِّرُوا هذا واجْتَنِبوا السَّواد». Jābir (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Abu Quhāfah, father of Abu Bakr As-Siddīq (may Allah be pleased with him), was brought on the day of the Conquest of Makkah with his head and beard as white as Thaghāmah (a white plant). Therefore, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Change this and avoid black."
