عن أبي سليمان خالد بن الوليد رضي الله عنه قال: لقد انقطعت في يدي يوم مُؤْتَةَ تسعة أسياف، فما بقي في يدي إلا صَفِيحَةٌ يمانية. Abu Sulaymān Khālid ibn al-Walīd (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "During the battle of Mu'tah, nine swords were broken in my hand, and all that remained with me was a Yemeni sword."
