عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه ، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: «الإيمانُ بِضْعٌ وَسَبْعُونَ أو بِضْعٌ وسِتُونَ شُعْبَةً: فَأَفْضَلُهَا قَوْلُ: لا إله إلا الله، وَأَدْنَاهَا إِمَاطَةُ الأَذَى عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ، وَالحَيَاءُ شُعْبَةٌ مِنَ الإِيمَانِ». Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Faith has over seventy branches –or over sixty branches – the best of which is saying: there is no god but Allah; and the least of which is the removal of harmful objects from the way; and modesty is a branch of faith."
